Hello together!

Once upon a time I founded a bicycle shop in Germany. But most of the year bad weather and cold led me to the decision to go south, in my case to Málaga, south of Spain. And because yet having all the tools to work with bicycles and bicycle parts, I started to invent different and beautiful things made of chains. Some are useful, like the key chains, some are just for to look at. It is very satisfying to make something on your own - you also can do it!

There are a lot of different bicycle chains: some are black, some are silver, a lot are grey, a few are painted or coated. There is also a big difference in the price you have to pay - which says a lot about the quality of a chain and the weight. There are some for 5 or 6 or 7,8, 9, 10, 11 velocities. And some chains are especially build for hubs. In the case of the key holder, the weight might be important for some people. Anyway, a key holder made of bicycle chains  lasts forever and will accompany you for a lifetime.

Well, it depends! If you want to DIY a key holder with a beer bottle cap than you need a special bicycle chain, because there is just one that fits perfect. You might need a chain rivet extractor, stainless steel screws with their cap nuts and a key ring. And you need all the tools to work with metal things.

For all other objects you have to try the right chain and than, with patience and skill you can build cats and dogs, raccoons and lizards, also crosses and stars and so on. 

There are so many beautiful and very nice designed bottle caps in this world. I am sure you also have a favorite one.
